Hallé For Youth – Celebrating International Women’s Day
Hallé for Youth is the annual series of schools' concerts performed by the Hallé at The Bridgewater Hall, one of the country's finest concert halls, which provide a live music experience for young people who, in most cases, have never heard a symphony orchestra before.
Bring your class to hear the wonderful Hallé live in concert! Hallé for Youth concerts are specifically designed for school children, and in 2026 we will be celebrating in the lead up to International Women’s Day. We aim to shine a light on women’s achievements, their evolving roles in society and champion equality. All schools will receive free resources in advance of the concert to have fun in your music classes, make Model Music Curriculum links and prepare the children for the concert visit.
Each concert includes a large screen showing live-stream footage, enabling the whole audience to see the instruments of the orchestra more easily. Across the four concerts in the series, the orchestra plays to thousands of young people from all over the north-west.
This season, there will be performances for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.
- Tuesday 3rd March – Key Stage 2
- Wednesday 4th March – Key Stage 2
- Thursday 5th March – Key Stage 3
We advise to arrive 45 minutes prior to the concert start time.
Running time approximately 70 minutes.
