In February 2025, the Hallé presents a three-day celebration of the music of living legend, Philip Glass.
It was Brian Eno, a pioneer of electronica, who described the music of Philip Glass as ‘a viscous bath of pure, thick energy.’ Glass, a master of developing complex and ever-shifting sonic layers from simple, repetitive structures, has since established himself as one of the most influential composers alive tpdau, and one of the first proponents of the minimalism movement. Over the course of three days, in collaboration with the RNCM, the Hallé brings you a festival celebrating his best-loved works.
