We are delighted to introduce our new Hallé Connect department!

Hallé Connect covers all of the Hallé’s work away from the formal concert platform. We work across the whole community from schools to care homes, nurturing young talent and bringing music into people’s lives.

All of our outreach work across schools, communities and our family of ensembles will be managed by the Hallé Connect team in future. As our work across a variety of settings increases, we want to ensure that more people of all ages feel welcome to engage with the musical opportunities the Hallé can offer.

We have a few new faces in the administrative team, including:

  • Clare Webster as Education and Outreach Manager
  • Jessica Harper as Connect Administrator
  • Isabelle Orford has returned from maternity leave in the new role of Ensembles Manager
  • Naomi Benn in the new role of Head of Hallé Connect

The whole administrative team can be viewed here: https://halle.co.uk/who-we-are/team-and-board/

On the artistic side we welcome Euan Shields as Assistant Conductor, and Matthew Roughley in his new role as Director of the Hallé Youth Training Choir (alongside his work with the Youth Choir, Ancoats Community Choir and our workplace choirs).

After a fantastic summer of tours and performances, we have loved welcoming back for the 2023/24 season the Hallé Choir, Ancoats Community Choir and all of our Youth Ensembles over the last couple of weeks. Community outreach work is ongoing and our first in-school workshops will resume next week.

We are also hugely excited for our Hallé family concert this coming Sunday 1st October: if you have ever wanted to know what an Orchestra is, this is your chance to find out in a fun and family-friendly way!
