We’re heading back into the Halle Archives for Throwback Thursday! Join us as we delve into history to see what gems are in store...

Back in 1915 the Hallé gave their first performance of Ravel’s Daphnis and Chloe, as well as Rimsky-Korsakov’s Ivan the Terrible Overture.

The concert was conducted by Sir Thomas Beecham and was the third concert of the Hallé’s 58th season! Tonight, 108 years on, we’re performing Daphnis and Chloe at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, conducted by Sir Mark Elder.
