Woven in amongst the Hallé’s stunning 2023-24 season, there is a brand-new series of four innovative ‘rush hour’ performances. Taking place in one of Europe’s most acclaimed concert venues, The Bridgewater Hall, these early evening, hour-long concerts offer the opportunity to experience the full forces of the Hallé live on stage.

Spend a breath-taking hour with the Hallé and experience world-class artists performing a wide variety of classical music in a truly stunning venue. There is an impressive roster of performers including the Hallé’s new Artist-in-Residence, Thomas Adès; favourite Hallé soloists Benjamin Grosvenor and Craig Ogden; trailblazing conductors Roderick Cox, Delyana Lazarova and Alpesh Chauhan; and the Hallé’s Principal Conductor Designate from the 2024-25 season, Kahchun Wong.

The music ranges from popular Spanish-inspired classics, a contemplative requiem featuring the Hallé Choir and a youthful concerto, to a fate-dominated symphony and a suite drawn from a comic opera. After the concert, while away the evening with drinks in the bar and enjoy complimentary events including foyer music performed by local young musicians and relaxed talks based on the Hallé’s 165 year old archive.

Tickets range from £5.50 to £22.50, and this new series offers a wonderful, hour-long introduction to the world of classical music in all its glory. Forming just part of the Hallé’s innovative 2023-24 season, other concert strands include the often sold-out Hallé St Peter’s chamber concerts, a new series of concerts aimed at families and ‘The Hallé Presents …’, a series of special collaborations with celebrated artists such as Jeff Mills, Nitin Sawhney, Steve Reich and Jonny Greenwood.
