Sunshine radiates from the painted landscape of In Nature’s Realm, Dvořák’s ode to the countryside. Thomas Adès’ Violin Concerto whisks you into a swirling universe of shifting harmony. Our Featured Artist Leila Josefowicz is a champion of this modern masterpiece, which for many players would be almost impossible. 

The soundscapes of Finnish mythology inspired the dreamlike adventures of Sibelius’s roguish hero. Lemminkäinen falls in love, hunts a swan that lives in the land of the dead, then dies before being brought back to life. 

Conductor Elena Schwarz takes us on this extraordinary escapade.
