The Hallé is delighted to offer free administrative work experience placements to students aged 16-18.

Placements last a maximum of one working week (usually Monday – Friday). Placements offer an insight into the workings of an award-winning symphony orchestra which is also a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.

Placements will observe and experience a number of the administrative departments which facilitate the activities of the Orchestra and its Ensembles: these include Artistic Planning; Concerts; Connect; Development; Finance; Venues; and Communications and Digital.

Applicants should be in school year 12 or 13, have some interest in arts administration, project management and the classical music industry. Please note that places are limited and we are unfortunately unable to accept every application. A selection process will consider the reasons outlined on the application form and in the accompanying short video, and the availability / capacity within the company for the proposed dates.
