Ensemble Coaching Sessions work with an existing school or music hub ensemble to enhance the quality of music-making. Sessions can take various forms, either led by a Hallé musician(s) from the relevant orchestral family or having a Hallé musician(s) sitting in and supporting a rehearsal. Colin Currie and the Hallé begin this exciting mini-fest of Steve Reich’s music in February with Music for Pieces of Wood and Music for Ensemble and Orchestra. For Reich’s major choral and orchestral work The Desert Music, members of the RNCM Chamber Choir also take to the stage.
