Hallé For Youth – Are You Sitting Comfortably?
Hallé for Youth is the annual series of schools’ concerts performed by the Hallé at The Bridgewater Hall, one of the country’s finest concert halls, which provide a live music experience for young people who, in most cases, have never heard a symphony orchestra before.
Bring your school to hear the mighty Hallé live in concert at The Bridgewater Hall! Join us in the week of World Book Day to explore music inspired by texts you know and love, and to discover new stories you have not yet encountered. All schools will receive free resources in advance of the concert to have fun in your music classes, make Model Music Curriculum links and prepare the children for the concert experience.
Each concert includes a large screen showing live-stream footage, enabling the whole audience to see the instruments of the orchestra more easily. Across the three concerts in the series, the orchestra plays to thousands of young people from all over the north-west.
This season, there will be performances for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.
