Touch Tours with the Hallé
The Hallé and The Bridgewater Hall are delighted to invite blind and visually impaired audience members to a free touch tour prior to some Hallé concerts.
Starting at 5.30pm and lasting approximately 30 minutes, touch tours will include an introductory description of the hall and its facilities, as well as the orchestral layout for that particular performance. There will also be an opportunity to meet some of the Hallé’s musicians, and it may be possible to touch some of their instruments.
Members of staff, from both The Bridgewater Hall and the Hallé, will be present to answer any questions and share descriptions of the space. Sighted guides and guide dogs are welcome to accompany their audience member.
Places, limited to a maximum of six blind or visually impaired audience members plus their sighted guides, must be booked at least one week prior to the concert date. Please note, if there is insufficient interest in the tour, we reserve the right to withdraw the offer.
To reserve your free place on a Hallé touch tour, please email access@bridgewater-hall.co.uk or phone the Box Office on 0161 907 9000.
It may be possible to arrange touch tours for additional dates – please get in touch to make an enquiry.
